Patient Questions

Email with all questions about your cat’s veterinary care while the Cat Clinic is open limited hours and we will get back to you with further instructions.

Email if your cat is ill, and we can help determine if an emergency vet visit is warranted.

For veterinary emergencies, we recommend:

Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners – Overland Park (913) 642-9563

Mission Veterinary Emergency and Specialty – Mission (913) 722-5566

Overland Park Veterinary and Emergency Specialty – Overland Park (913) 361-3800

Kansas State University Veterinary Small Animal Hospital – Manhattan (785) 532-5690

These ER/specialty vet hospitals are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We are no longer offering boarding services.

We recommend Lawrence Pet Friends for in-home cat-sitting services.

A good option for boarding cats in Lawrence is Woof’s Play and Stay.

Tender Loving Care Pet Nursing Hotel in Topeka provides boarding for cats that need extra attention due to age or illness.

Medication and Food Ordering

Clients should email the clinic at for all medication and prescription food requests (or questions) following the guidelines below.

  • Use our online pharmacy to order all prescription food and medications. We can authorize medications, prescription food, and Revolution for up to 1 year after your cat’s last wellness exam.
  • Compounded medications will now be shipped directly to you. We can help set up for the medications to be shipped and billed directly to you by the compounding pharmacy.
  • Currently we do not have our normal stock of prescription food in the clinic. If you have an emergency need, email and we will try to help.

Grooming Services

We can schedule lioncut shaves for kitties requiring sedation or those found to need medically necessary shaves by our veterinarian after an examination. We also offer nail trim, brushing, and Soft Paw application services.

All grooming services are limited to our current patients only and they must be up to date on an examination and vaccinations (FVRCP and rabies). For all other grooming (specific haircuts, shaves not requiring sedation, baths, nail trims, etc.), please reach out to these alternative options:

For nail trims on kitties that are not feisty, you can also try:

Medical Records

If you need a copy of your cat’s vaccine record, email and we will send a copy to you. If your cat is seeing a new veterinarian, email us with the veterinary practice’s name and we will send a copy of their full medical record direct to the vet.

Office Hours

We are in the clinic while planning the transition. We are seeing cat patients two days a week now, but we do not have set office hours yet.

Response time to email will vary, but on weekdays we will try to respond within 48 hours.

Email is the best way to contact us, but we do check the phone messages every weekday.

Future Plans

We appreciate your support and patience as we develop “Cat Clinic 2.0”!

Currently, the clinic is open 2 days per week for in-clinic visits and housecalls. The clinic building will be undergoing a renovation, and new staff will be coming on board. We are excited for the clinic’s second decade and hope you are too!
